Who is Mark Poulin

Mark Poulin started his musical career in 1965 playing drums, and didn't seriously take up guitar until the mid 1980s, when he finally learned to stand up and play at the same time! The emergence of the Beatles was the inspiration for Mark's musical career, and he is the only member of HELP!, current or past, to have actually seen - but not heard (the screaming was too loud) - the Beatles in concert (Suffolk Downs, August 18, 1966). Mark played drums with "Limbo Race," when they won the BCN rumble in 1982 and subsequently opened for R.E.M. and the Thompson Twins. Mark also has a solo show which includes an eerily accurate tribute to the late Roy Orbison. A lifelong resident of the Newburyport/Amesbury, MA area, Mark played the John Lennon part in HELP! from the spring of 1998 through the summer of 2011. Mark now contributes his considerable talents to the very long-running Boston-Area Oldies and Request band The Reminiscants. Mark also has his own web site where you can visit him for complete info and his full performance schedule.
